F210 Members & Neighbors - Benderson Development Rezone Petition 15-15 was NOT approved.

They now have 1 year to reapply for another Rezone, stay active & involved in your community. AUG. 2016
~ Below is an email Chairman Gary Heffner sent to all the Sarasota County Commissioners:

Good Evening Commissioners,

We want to thank you for your thoughtful questions and balanced approach toward Rezone Petition 15-15.  Your closing comments carried insight and challenges for all the parties involved.  It is our hope that after some time of reflection and study, Benderson Development Company responds with a new plan that harmonizes with SPA3.  In that case, we will be there to support and encourage them.

On a personal note, I hope my comment about Laurel road was not misunderstood.  As I told Commissioner Maio afterwards, I was referring to the Industrial Zone around PGT and Tervis Tumbler.  We are not all professional presenters, and you were very helpful in explaining the quasi-judicial nature of the hearing.  I know that it was instructive to me.

Once again we thank you for your service to Sarasota County.  As we approach the Holiday Season, we pray you and your families are well and blessed.

Sincerely, Gary Heffner, Chairman
Fruitville 210 Community Alliance
